The digital world of photography has been part of life for most people now for as far back as they can remember.

With smart phones crammed full of all the latest technology it is hard to take a bad photo, or is it?

Phone camera technology has meant fewer people carry a camera, but those that do still share their images on digital platforms. Making use of Photoshop to enhance or even change the image.

Photography is an art form. Just as with painting there are different mediums to use on different materials in the style of the classics or past impressionists.

Photography is whatever you want it to be. Capture a special memory, an event, meeting or sharing a moment with a special person or an animal.

For the purpose of this blog it will not focus on any one subject i.e. landscape, skyscape, astronomical, pets, abstract or nature. At some point will cover all.

The journey can be greater than the destination.

The theme will be to learn through taking images and unpicking what works but more importantly what area could be improved on.

We can all be drawn into the marketing of purchasing the latest technology to take the holy grail of pictures. What we should do is only buy what we can afford and be creative.
